The third guest post in our series on the power of a pre-linked template is now live at AECbytes: The Power of a Pre-Linked ArchiCAD Template, Part 3 - Layout Book.
By now you should know how awesome BIMx PRO is. As the marketing material says, it’s “the ultimate BIM project presentation application — featuring the BIMx Hyper-model, a unique technology for integrated 2D and 3D building project navigation.”
Not all ARCHICAD projects are created equal. From Library Management, to Project Management, to Attribute Management, to Project Settings, to Project Preferences, to Project Structure to managing External Content, there are numerous ways to slow your files down, blow out the file sizes, and generally disorganize your projects. Quite often we're not even aware of what is causing these issues! And if we don't know what's causing them how can we learn how to fix them?
Sometimes we work on projects that are sloppy. And sometimes those projects were started by us. And sometimes that happens.
ARCHICAD 19 brings us Tabs, but what are they, why were they introduced and what's the most efficient way to use them? We'll answer all these questions as we take an in-depth look at what tabs can and can’t do, then armed with that knowledge introduce best practices to use them efficiently. And who better to collaborate with than the GRAPHISOFT Product Designer tasked with implementing Tabs into ARCHICAD: James Badcock?
Did you know you can Expand all the folders and sub-folders in the Navigator or Organizer with just one button?

So we decided to write a series of guest blog posts for AECbytes. My take on blog posts is that they should be highly informative and entertaining. Hopefully I've pulled that off!
