Get to know your Shortcuts

Ken

Keyboard shortcuts are a simple way to save a few seconds with tasks your run every day in ARCHICAD.

For example, to get to Layer Settings you can use various onscreen buttons or Options> Element Attributes> Layer Settings… OR you can press Cmd+L / Ctrl+L.

Learning a few more Keyboard Shortcuts can help increase your productivity – and ARCHICAD has lots of them to keep you busy!

To see a list of all the shortcuts in ARCHICAD – go to Options> Work Environment> Keyboard Shortcuts and click Show Shortcut List in Browser as highlighted below:

This will launch your default browser and display a list of ALL the shortcuts currently set in ARCHICAD.  The most important ones to learn are the ones at the very bottom of the list (Non-customizable shortcuts) as knowing and understanding these can make a big difference to your productivity.

"The BIM test drive I attended magnified the speed and ease of developing a model using the BIM6x template, and illustrated the potential for improved coordination of the entire design/build team."

"We at Slichter Architects are glad to have BIM6x as our ARCHICAD provider. BIM6x provides prompt support and it is nice to know that when an issue comes up they make themselves available to quickly provide direction and insight in an effort to minimize our issue and maximize our production."
