Happy new year everyone! I thought I'd kick off the year with a blog post! Late last year I needed to update my laptop. Chris and I decided to make sure my new laptop was ‘VR Ready’ and thus began my first venture into Virtual Reality, or VR. Sure, I had previously used the old-style stereoscopic glasses and even Google Cardboard with BIMx. I’d even tried on a few VR helmets over the years, but it’s only now that I believe VR is really hitting a tipping point, especially with ARCHICAD.

"We use ARCHICAD exclusively in our office for all phases of design. We have developed a template over the last several years that saves us time on every project. We are also very pleased with the graphical output, using the software to produce project maps, construction documents, 3D details and photo real renderings that update automatically as the design evolves. Our clients are impressed with our ability to study various options on the fly using ARCHICAD."

“The bulk of my career in architecture has been firmly and happily spent in the Fine Art world of the commonly known 2D hand rendering style and the skillful play between pen weights and poche, or shadows. However, there is an incredible shift in this profession today that is even more beautiful – 3D modeling and BIM production in ARCHICAD. Graphisoft has built for my firm such a powerful platform for rendering that today’s most savvy clients get excited. No matter the style or size of architecture, the production end of ARCHICAD and BIM makes this architect and business owner excited!”
